It started in the summer of 1975, when at the age of 15 I caught a lucky break and went on a weekend getaway my parents sponsored to the Playboy Club at Great Gorge (NJ). I got into the Disco without getting carded and saw the lightshow, DJ Booth and the crowd....I knew right then this was what I wanted to do. By the next summer, I had hooked up two magnetic cartridge turntables via "Y" plugs to the family stereo and the summer after that I acquired an FCC license as a freshman in college. My first audition was in June 1979 at Gus Lacey's Center City club "The Graduate". By the early 80's I was spinning regularly in Chuck's Disco at Broad and Germantown. In 1983, I secured a residency in Downtown Philly at "The Viking Room" at Kim Graves. It was there that I met C. B. Kimmins who in turn invited me to join the crowd at the Library Discotheque in Bala Cynwyd on Sunday nights. I met the legendary DJ Frank Goodman during this time and became a regular customer at the Library on Sunday and Wednesday nights. The following year I moved into the main room at Kim Graves and later that year moved to Club Serendipity. After several years with Keith Boyd's Music Company DJs I secured another residency at Rhythmz (21st And Arch - formerly Serendipity, Memphis and Voodoo). This appointment was parlayed into my next residency at Club Illusions (7th and Arch sts) from 1994-96. I have made numerous on-air appearances (WDAS, WUSL) and am still spinning current music in the Hip- Hop and R&B Genre. My side projects include extended versions of '60s Motown classics with the help of the Motown Karaoke series.
